Basic Information

The Faculty of Medicine is one of the four oldest faculties of the Charles University, established in 1348, it has made a substantial contribution to the advancement of academic research and teaching in the field of medicine and it had a significant impact on the level of health care in the country.

ABOUT ERASMUS

Would you like come and study in Prague at the 1st Faculty of Medicine? Try Erasmus + student exchange programme! Our coordinator can help you both with planning and the stay.

What to do before arrival?

  1. After receiving your official nomination our Erasmus coordinator will ask you by e-mail to send back a list of chosen courses.
  2. After you agree on your courses you will fill the online registration form within a submitting deadline.
  3. You will get the acceptation letter, confirmed Learning Agreement (eventually also accommodation voucher) by post.
  4. Don`t forget to bring all documents and arrangemets. As a non-EU citizen also arrange the student visa.

What to do after arrival?

  1. Check-in in the students residence address, following the information to accomodation from the university coordinator.
  2. Register at the International Department at the First Faculty of Medicine.
  3. Register at the Foreign Police Department within 30 days (EU citizens) or within 3 working days (non-EU citizens) after the arrival to the Czech Republic.
