During your studies, you will take part in mandatory holiday internships. It is up to you to decide where exactly the internships will take place.

Completing your studies

Completing your studies

After meeting the requirements of the last part of the state rigorous examination, when SIS is completed, students are obliged to visit FSAD during the office hours, bring passport and index to check personal details for diploma issuing and to collect Alumni Check-Out List, which is allowed to be completed after last part of the state rigorous examination. 

Eligible Subjects

Students are allowed to sign up for maximum 3 eligible subjects per a semester and till the deadline subjects can be changed or canceled. The number of credits gained from eligible subjects must not be more than 15% of the normal number of credits.

How does the credit system work

  1. Credits are points for completing of the study subjects
  2. Register compulsory subjects according to the study plan of your upcoming year of study via SIS at the end of September.
  3. Register eligible subjects at the beginning of winter and summer semester via SIS.
  4. Make sure you will reach every year at least 60 credits, consist of compulsory and eligible subjects credits.
  5. Make sure you will click on button “enrollee”, approved does not mean enrolled!

LF1 MEDSOC is the student-run association that provides help to students moving to Prague, extra academic workshops, as well as parties and sports events.

Feel free to visit us in our Office in Karlovo náměstí 40, from 2pm to 4pm on weekdays.

Study Support

Foreign Student Affairs Department  (FSAD) will provide you with information concerning admission process, school fee, US Financial Aid, ECFMG, study and alumni at the Faculty within master degree study programmes General Medicine and Dentistry taught in English. Do you have any problems or concerns? Come to see us Monday – Thursday during the office hours. Not present in the Czech Republic?  Send us an email or give us a call.

    How to connect to internet?

    You can connect to Eduroam WIFI in the faculty buildings, as well as from other places in CZ and abroad and from home, using Eduroam network. You can connect to WIFI at the Czech Medical Students Association and in the Faust's House.

  • Computers

    Where can I find computers?

    There are several free accesible and guarded computer rooms at the faculty:

    • v On the ground floor of the Institute of Scientific Information
    • In the Institute of Purkyne at Albertov, in the Institute of Physiology yard.
  • Students cards

    Which card shoudl I have?

    After enrollment at the University you will get a Student ID card. You can also buy an ISIC licence, which gets you discounts at stores and restaurants around the Czech Republic. 

  • Textbooks

    Textbooks and study materials

    You can buy new textbooks and study materials at online book stores, at MegaBooks across the street from the Dean’s Building in Kateřinská street.

  • Study problems
