Information for applicants (May 4, 2020)

Prague, May 4, 2020

Dear Applicants,

Thank you for the trust you put in our school by applying to our English study programs. More than 1200 of you, in fact – this is a great challenge that we accept.

If you applied through an agent, they will help to organize the entrance exam according to local situation in your country – standard paper version with supervision by the Czech embassy personnel, or online version on (or close to) originally anticipated date. For those who applied for the entrance exams in Prague – we will be ready for you on June 5th, but we realize that for many the travel will be impossible, so there will be an online option as well (for technical reasons, as we can not run simultaneously both, on June 8th). In either case, the interview will be online via videoconference (e.g. through Zoom or Skype). Please let us know whether you are able to arrive in person or not as soon as you are sure, one week prior to the exam at the latest, so that we allocate sufficient resources for the process.

For those who succeed, there is another obstacle we are aware of at the present time – the Czech embassies do not accept any visa applications. While we hope this restriction shall be lifted in the second half of this month, we anticipate that a significant number among you might be delayed; for those, we are prepared to start the semester online so you do not miss anything, and our student organization LF1 MEDSOC is prepared to offer personalized assistance with adaptation for the late arrivals to make your start as smooth as possible.

Wishing you good luck with completing your secondary education and at the entrance exams,

David Sedmera
Vice-Dean for the International Students
