The Centre for Knowledge and Technology Transfer (CPPT) provides services and information in support of knowledge and technology transfer to scientific workers and students of the Charles University.

CPPT provides:

• patent and legal consulting in the field of commercialization
• consulting, know-how and financial support for specific commercialization projects (e.g. the GAMA)
• promoting scientific outputs with potential for commercialization
• lifelong education in the field of commercialization
• preparation of project applications and subsequent implementation of projects dealing with transfer of knowledge and lifelong education
• methodical provision of knowledge and technology transfer at the Charles University

At each faculty of the Charles University, the CPPT coordinates the technology scouts who seek ideas within the faculty for applying the results of scientific activities in practice. These scouts provide support to the researchers and any query related to the knowledge and technology transfer can be addressed to them.

Support of projects with a commercial potential and founding of spin-off companies

Charles University Innovations Prague s.r.o. (CUIP) is a subsidiary of the Charles University which is closely cooperating with the CPPT.

CUIP provides the following services:

• consulting and managerial services for projects with a commercial potential and for founding of spin-off companies

• intermediation of investors for university spin-off companies

• negotiating of licensing or other conditions in the given area

• financial support to spin-off companies

• support of sponsoring and fundraising activities at the Charles University
