Founded in 1348 by the Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, Charles IV, Charles University is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Since its foundation, it has welcomed students from around the world and has a long tradition of teaching in multiple languages. While Latin was originally the language of instruction, it was later joined by Czech, German and, more recently, English.

Today, international students studying in English make up a significant part of our medical community. We would be delighted to welcome you among them.
