Scientia Foundation awards prizes for best scientific publications by students of the 1^st Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University which were published in 2018.

The awards are awarded in two categories

· students of bachelor or master’s programmes

· students of full-time PhD programmes in Czech and English language.

Three prizes are awarded in each category.

Application for the prize should include (see attachment):

– given name, surname, birth number, and address of the applicant

– a brief biography

– a list of works published in 2018, an overview of lectures, articles, or other evidence of results of scientific research carried out in 2018 (include copies of published articles)

– if applicable, include an overview of your citations according to the Web of Science.

Prizes in the various categories amount to 15,000 CZK, 10,000 CZK, and 5,000 CZK.

Process of prize winner selection:

– the board of Scientia Foundation appoints a five-member committee consisting of prominent experts none of whom may be co-authors of works to be evaluated

– the committee of experts presents an award proposal to the board

– the board decides who receives the awards.
