Graduation Ceremony 2026

The graduation ceremony will take place on 23 July 2026 at 12:00 and 13:30
in the Karolinum, Ovocný trh 3, Prague 1.

The ceremony time is selected by the student upon completion of final state examination by emailing jitka.wurmova@lf1.cuni.cz

Instructions for Graduates

• Graduates must arrive 40 minutes before the ceremony.
• Please go to the background of the Great Hall (Karolinum background) to:
  • learn the ceremony choreography
  • sign the matriculation sheet
  • collect tickets for extra seats

How to get there:
Enter the building, turn left, go to the 1st floor, then turn right through the smaller door.

• Formal dress is required.
• Each graduate is guaranteed 2 tickets for extra seats for family, they will be provided at the day of the ceremony 40 minutes before it´s start.
• The total number of guests per graduate is not limited (up to 400 standard guest seats available).
• Please make sure you know to say the oath Spondeo ac Polliceor.

Instructions for Guests

Please share the following rules with your family and friends:

• Switch off mobile phones before entering the hall
• Do not walk around during the ceremony
• Do not clap during the ceremony
• The ceremony lasts approximately 50 minutes
• Attendance of children under six years of age is not recommended

Photos and Video

Professional photographers and videographers will cover the ceremony.
Photos and videos will be available for viewing and ordering at:
www.promoce.cz

Please note that by attending the ceremony, all participants automatically give consent to being photographed or recorded.

Study Requirements

To be allowed to attend the ceremony, you must complete your final study obligation by 27 June 2026.
Your last obligation must be one of your state exams.

After completing all requirements:

• email the Study Department with your correct personal details
• obtain confirmation from the library regarding returned books and cleared fines
