Who Can Still Apply to the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University for the 2026/2027 Academic Year?

We are now entering the second stage of the admissions process for the English-taught programmes in General Medicine and Dentistry.

• For independent applicants from visa-free countries, it is possible to apply until 5 September to be able to take the in-person written (Round 1) exam date is 14 September, 2026 in Prague at the faculty. The substitute date is 23rd Septmeber. 

We still recommend considering the option of applying through one of our representative, as they offer valuable additional services (such as visa guidance) and organise exam dates abroad.

• For applicants from visa-requiring countries, applications can only be submitted through our official international representatives who organise entrance examinations abroad and who will advise whether the applicant realistically has a chance of obtaining the necessary visa in time to begin their studies at the end of Septmeber. 

If you choose this path, you yourself must initiate the contact with the representative!

Applications are open until 5 September 2026, but for each specific exam date, the deadline for submitting the application incl. payment of the application fee is no later than 14 days before the test.
