The granting of stipends at the Charles University, their disbursement, and other related issues are regulated by the Stipend Code of the Charles University. Certain further details are defined in the Regulations for the Granting of Stipends at the First Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University and in the Dean’s Measure No. 9/2021.

PhD stipends are disbursed to students who follow a full-time programme (if they meet all necessary conditions) and they take the form of regular monthly disbursement of a sum of money whose amount is set by the relevant rector’s measure.
