HOW TO GET A PLACE IN DORMITORIES

1) Contact International office right after your admission to let them know the exact day of your arrival to Prague.

Referent in charge of admissions is Mr.  Alexandr Kandakov (alexandr.kandakov@lf1.cuni.cz)

2) International office will order for you a place at dormitory and you will receive a contract (or booking confirmation for EU students) with dormitories.

ONCE YOUR RESERVATION AT THE DORMITORY SYSTEM IS DONE, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC EMAIL FROM THE DORMITORY OFFICE ASKING YOU TO PAY A DEPOSIT.  YOU NEED TO PAY THE DEPOSIT WITHIN 2 WEEKS AFTER RECEIVING THIS EMAIL. THAT IS HOW YOU MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PLACE AT THE DORMITORY IS SAFE. IF YOU FAIL TO PAY THE DEPOSIT, YOUR RESERVATION IS CANCELLED.

It is not possible to choose the room, it is assigned by dormitories. Usually, it is a bed in a double room with shared toilet and bathroom with another room or with shared bathroom and toilet in the corridor.

3) Referent will send the contract to your address (or booking confirmation for students from EU by e-mail).

Please make sure that your postal address in your SIS application is correct.

5) Arrival to Prague

The address of dormitory is written in your contract (booking). You should come to register within the office hours of dormitories reservation office at the date stated in our agreement. If you cannot come to register on the date stated in your agreement, you have to inform the dormitory reservation office in advance!

Office hours of dormitory reservation offices:

If you know that you arrive after the office hours, for example at the evening or weekend, you HAVE TO inform the reservation office about it by email in advance. They will inform about it the reception of your dormitory. After your arrival, you will go to the reception and show passport, registration will be done next day, when the reservation office is opened.

You should bring with you passport/ID, and one passport picture. If you already paid the reservation fee + rent you don't need to bring money with you.
