List of Practical Procedures, the ‘Logbook’

1. Upon registering for the first year, students of General Medicine receive a List of Practical Procedures required for subject ‘The Minimum of Practical Procedures in General Medicine’ (code B01952). Fulfilment of its requirements is classified in year 6, prior to final state examinations. In the course of their study, during internships at the relevant departments, or in the course of summer practicum, the students either execute these procedures themselves or are present and assist at procedures listed in the List of Practical Procedures. Acquisition of the requisite clinical skill is certified by the head of the relevant department or by a supervisor. To receive credits for the subject at the Institute of General Medicine (head of the subject is Assistant Professor MUDr. Bohumil Seifert, Ph.D), students need to acquire certification for all obligatory procedures listed in the List of Practical Procedures.

2. Students attending the Dentistry course receive, upon registration for the first year, a List of Practical Procedures for subject ‘The Minimum of Practical Procedures in Dentistry’ (code B01906). Fulfilment of these requirements is classified in year 5, prior to final state examinations. To receive credit at the Department of Stomatology (head of the subject is Professor MUDr. Jana Dušková, DrSc.), students need to acquire certification for all obligatory procedures listed in the List of Practical Procedures.

3. Students of all non-medical healthcare courses will upon registration receive a List of Practical Procedures. Fulfilment of these procedures is then certified prior to the last part of the final state examination by the guarantor of their field of study.
