The granting of scholarships at the Charles University, their disbursement, and other related issues are regulated by the Scholarship and Bursary Rules of Charles University.

A doctoral scholarship may only be awarded and paid on the basis of an application by a student enrolled in a full-time doctoral study program whose total period of study has not exceeded the standard period of study for the study program in which the student is enrolled, within the meaning of Article 13(2). Applications for doctoral scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year will be accepted from October 15, 2025. 

The scholarship will be awarded from the first day of the month in which the application was submitted.
